Annual Billing
All plans are available on monthly or annual billing. Annual billing saves you 20%:
- Starter: $19/mo → $182/year ($15.17/mo)
- Professional: $39/mo → $374/year ($31.17/mo)
- Studio: $79/mo → $758/year ($63.17/mo)
You can switch between monthly and annual billing at any time from Settings → Subscription. When switching to annual, you pay the annual price immediately and your billing date resets. When switching to monthly, the change takes effect at the end of your current annual period.
How to Upgrade
- Go to Settings in the sidebar.
- Scroll to Subscription (or click the "Upgrade" badge if one is visible).
- Select the plan you want to upgrade to.
- Confirm and enter your payment details if not already on file.
Upgrades take effect immediately. You get instant access to all the features in your new plan. Your billing is prorated — you're only charged for the remaining days in your current billing cycle at the higher rate.
How to Downgrade
Downgrading is soft enforcement — you never lose data. Here's what happens:
- Go to Settings → Subscription and select a lower plan.
- The downgrade takes effect at the end of your current billing period (you keep your current plan until then).
- When the downgrade activates:
- Features not available on the lower plan become read-only. For example, if you downgrade from Professional to Starter, your workflows stop executing but you can still view them.
- Galleries beyond the Starter limit become view-only (you can't create new ones, but existing galleries and their photos are preserved).
- AI features become unavailable but all previously generated insights remain visible.
The key principle: your data is always safe. Downgrading never deletes clients, sessions, galleries, invoices, or any content. It only restricts what new actions you can take.
Free Trial
Every new account gets a 14-day free trial of the Studio plan (the highest tier). No credit card required. After 14 days, you choose which plan to subscribe to. If you don't choose, your account moves to a limited free state where you can view your data but not create new content.
Cancellation
You can cancel your subscription at any time from Settings → Subscription. When you cancel:
- Your plan remains active until the end of your current billing period.
- After that, your account enters the same limited free state as an expired trial.
- Your data is retained for 12 months after cancellation. During this time, you can reactivate by subscribing again and everything will be exactly as you left it.
- After 12 months, we'll send a final email warning before any data is permanently removed.
If you're canceling because something isn't working, reach out to support first — we may be able to help or offer a solution.
Payment Methods
We accept all major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover). Payment is processed securely through Stripe — ShootMuse never sees or stores your full card number.
To update your payment method, go to Settings → Subscription and click Update Payment Method.
